We are seeking an experienced Automotive Inspector/Mechanic to join our repair shop and support day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle inspection, automotive repair, and shop management. This role ensures that vehicles meet safety and performance standards, oversees workflow efficiency, and helps maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.DutiesVehicle Inspection & DiagnosticsPerform full safety, mechanical, and emissions inspections.Mechanical WorkSupport repair technicians with hands-on mechanical work.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on various vehicle systems.Ensure repairs meet manufacturer and industry standards.Shop / Operational ManagementOversee daily workflow in the repair shop.Assign tasks to technicians and monitor productivity.Maintain parts and tool inventory.Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance.Assist with estimates, customer updates, and service scheduling.Train, mentor, and guide technicians as needed.Quality AssuranceReview completed repairs for accuracy and quality.Perform re-inspections when necessary.Ensure customer satisfaction and high service standards.Verify compliance with state/local inspection regulations.Identify repair needs and document all findings.Communicate inspection outcomes to customers and the service team.Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to evaluate vehicle condition.Technical & Inspection SkillsState Vehicle Inspection License is Required! And other license are preferred!Strong understanding of all major automotive systems.Experience with diagnostic scanners and inspection equipment.Ability to spot safety hazards, defects, and needed repairs.
