We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mid-Level Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician to join our dynamic automotive restoration team. Duties
- Perform paintless dent repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Use specialized hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment to remove dents, dings, and creases without damaging the vehicle’s original paint.
- Conduct minor auto body repairs including sheet metal work, auto glass replacement, and auto painting as needed.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques for vehicle repairs requiring metal work or structural adjustments.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as auto restoration projects, auto estimating, and detailing to ensure vehicles meet quality standards.
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely during repair processes involving large or heavy parts.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and auto body repair projects to streamline workflow and ensure customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or hands-on work in auto body repair shops is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, welding (including MIG welding), and sheet metal fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with auto restoration processes, auto painting methods including airless paint spraying, and auto glass replacement is advantageous.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures such as auto estimating, vehicle maintenance, and detailing enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Experience working with auto estimating software or customer service skills are a plus for providing excellent client interactions.
