Job Description
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join us as a Mailing Services Technician. This job requires the person to
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing company mail pieces.
- Accurately file agency mail by numerical agency code and name.
- Check and determine the most prudent mailing method.
- Assemble and attach applicable forms and endorsements.
- Thoroughly review filed documents and/or assembled policies for accuracy.
- Operate mailing equipment and computer applications.
- Those activities associated with mail operations, including, but not limited to frequently standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to lift or move up to 35 pounds, at times shoulder level, and maneuvering carts weighing up to 1,000 pounds.
- Assist with the training of others.
- Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere on request
- The ability to read and accurately file by number.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task.
- Ability to maintain a professional business image and work effectively with associates at all levels is required.
- Ability to work as a part of a team, as well as independently is required.
- A high school education or equivalent job related experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of office etiquette, filing experience and computer knowledge. Experience in related field is preferred.
