Duties
- Repair and restore vehicle bodies using hand tools, power tools, welding, and auto painting techniques
- Perform sheet metal work, fabrication, and auto glass replacement or repair
- Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, sanding, priming, and painting with airless paint spraying methods
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques for structural repairs
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs and assembly of parts
- Use auto estimating software to assess damages and determine repair costs
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and addressing client concerns
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and various welding techniques
- Strong fabrication skills with sheet metal and auto body components
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and maintenance
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and auto body equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with auto estimating software is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
