ABOUT US:

Auto Hauler Exchange is an innovative startup revolutionizing the auto transport and logistics industry. Our platform connects vehicle shippers and carriers to streamline vehicle transportation with real-time tracking, transparent pricing, and an easy-to-use interface. We are currently looking for a proven, dynamic and results-driven Product Manager to join our Software Product Team.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Product Manager is responsible for defining, building, launching, and optimizing software products and workflows that advance AHX’s business objectives and customer experience within the finished vehicle logistics industry. This role bridges business strategy, customer needs, and technical execution by leveraging modern AI technologies, automation tools, and data-driven product development practices.

The Product Manager will own the roadmap and execution for one or more core product areas, coordinating closely with Engineering, Operations, Carrier Relations, OEM stakeholders, and Leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes. This role requires a strong blend of product strategy, operational expertise, customer empathy, analytical thinking, and practical AI fluency.

A successful candidate must possess a deep understanding of the finished vehicle logistics ecosystem, including vehicle transportation operations, carrier workflows, OEM logistics processes, dispatching, load management, transportation marketplaces, and operational bottlenecks affecting the movement of vehicles across North America.

In essence, our Product Manager acts as both a strategic operator and technology innovator — ensuring AHX continues to modernize and improve the vehicle logistics industry through intelligent software solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Management:

● Define product vision, goals, success metrics, and technology-driven opportunities aligned with AHX’s strategic objectives.

● Build and maintain product roadmaps focused on improving efficiency, visibility, automation, and customer experience within finished vehicle logistics.

● Identify opportunities to streamline carrier operations, dispatching, load management, route optimization, communication workflows, and transportation execution.

Industry & Operational Expertise:

● Serve as an internal subject matter expert on finished vehicle logistics workflows and operational challenges.

● Develop a deep understanding of carrier, broker, OEM, dealership, and shipper pain points.

● Translate operational inefficiencies into scalable software solutions that improve throughput, visibility, and profitability.

AI & Technology-Driven Product Development:

● Collaborate with engineering teams to design and launch intelligent software features such as workflow automation, operational copilots, smart search, predictive insights, and AI-assisted user experiences.

● Leverage AI tools and prompt engineering to prototype solutions, accelerate workflows, improve documentation, and enhance product iteration speed.

● Participate in defining AI-assisted workflows, automation logic, integrations, and operational tooling requirements.

Customer & Market Research:

● Conduct customer interviews, workflow analysis, and competitive research across the finished vehicle logistics market.

● Gather feedback from carriers, dispatchers, brokers, OEMs, and internal operations teams to identify unmet needs and product opportunities.

● Monitor trends in transportation technology, logistics automation, and AI-enabled operational platforms.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

● Coordinate across Engineering, Operations, Sales, Carrier Success, and Executive Leadership teams.

● Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and feature delivery processes.

● Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Data & Performance Analysis:

● Define and monitor KPIs related to operational efficiency, marketplace liquidity, load fulfillment, user adoption, and customer satisfaction.

● Use data analysis and experimentation to guide product decisions.

● Evaluate feature success through operational metrics, customer feedback, and business impact.

Product Launch & Execution:

● Manage end-to-end product launches from concept through deployment and iteration.

● Ensure software solutions are reliable, scalable, operationally practical, and aligned with industry workflows.

● Coordinate rollout strategies, training, and process adoption for new product capabilities.

Risk Management & Quality Assurance:

● Identify operational, technical, and customer risks related to product changes and automation systems.

● Ensure product quality, usability, compliance, and reliability standards are met.

● Collaborate on testing strategies for new features, workflows, and operational tooling.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

● Deep understanding of the finished vehicle logistics industry, including automotive transportation operations, dispatching, carrier workflows, and OEM logistics processes.

● Experience working within or closely alongside vehicle transportation, automotive logistics, freight marketplaces, or transportation management systems.

● Strong understanding of software products, SaaS platforms, and operational technology systems. ● Strong knowledge of Agile product development methodologies.

● Experience managing software products or product features from ideation through launch.

● Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or similar platforms.

● Ability to leverage AI for workflow automation, rapid prototyping, operational analysis, and product ideation.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

● Ability to balance operational realities, customer needs, technical constraints, and business priorities.

● Experience working with APIs, integrations, or technical product concepts.

● Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

● Experience shipping automation-focused or AI-enhanced software features.

● Familiarity with prompt engineering, LLM workflows, operational automation systems, or AI-assisted development tools.

● Experience with transportation marketplaces, fleet operations, dispatch systems, or logistics SaaS platforms.

● Understanding of product analytics, experimentation frameworks, and KPI tracking.

● Technical fluency in system architecture, integrations, or operational data workflows.
