Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of collision shop production, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet daily and long-term goals.
- Oversee the entire repair process from vehicle intake through final inspection, ensuring adherence to quality control standards.
- Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to coordinate parts procurement, inventory management, and production scheduling.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflow, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process enhancements aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with supply chain management to optimize parts availability and streamline logistics for timely repairs.
- Supervise and motivate shop staff, including technicians and assembly teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to productivity, quality control, and safety compliance; prepare reports for upper management.
Skills
- Proven experience in production management within a collision or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, MRP processes, and supply chain analytics.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement methodologies.
