What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Consultant, Dealer Integrations position at Auto AI?
About Auto AI
Auto AI builds operational software for franchised dealerships, working with the systems stores already run rather than replacing them. We’re a Dealertrack Certified OpenTrack partner, we’re growing across DMS, CRM and service platforms, and we’re fortunate to be advised and backed by dealer principals and industry leaders who’ve spent their careers in the business.
The role
We’re looking for someone who knows dealer systems from the inside and enjoys helping others make sense of them. You’d be the bridge between our engineers, the vendors whose platforms we connect to, and the dealerships we bring on board. When a new store joins, you’d be the one who understands how it runs, figures out what connects to what, and guides the rollout from first conversation to go-live. You don’t need to write code. You’d work closely with our engineers, so it helps if you’re comfortable reading a DMS data export, understanding what an API integration can and can’t do, and translating a dealer’s “I want to see this” into something our team can build.
What you’d do
- Get to know each new store’s DMS, CRM, scheduler and parts systems, and how its departments actually work
- Help our engineers find the right data in the right system, so integrations go faster and smoother
- Build and keep our vendor relationships: partner programs, certifications, API access and the people behind them
- Plan each rollout, lead training and go-live across service, parts, sales and BDC, then hand the store to our account team
- Share what you learn at the store with our product team
- Join conversations with dealer groups when they get technical
You might be a great fit if
- You’ve worked on DMS, CRM or scheduler integrations from the vendor side (Dealertrack OpenTrack, CDK Fortellis, Reynolds RCI, VinSolutions, Xtime, DealerSocket, or a data aggregator like Authenticom or DealerVault) and have a good feel for what each one offers
- You’ve spent five or more years in or around franchised dealerships, on an implementation team or in a store or group role where you’ve been through a system conversion
- You understand both sides of the building: how a deal moves from the desk to F&I to accounting, and how an RO moves from write-up to cashier
- You’re at ease with a dealer principal, a service director and a developer, sometimes all in the same hour
- You like owning something end to end and seeing it work
