Autism Center of Excellence is hiring a Behavior Technician (BT) to join our Colonial Heights, VA clinic team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and interested in building a meaningful career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). No ABA certification is required to start — we provide paid training and support your path toward RBT certification and advancement.

Position Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism under BCBA supervision
- Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies
- Collect and record session data accurately
- Support clients in developing communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and professional therapy environment
- Collaborate with supervisors and clinical team regarding client progress
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
This is a clinic-based position. Additional flexibility may be required occasionally to support client and operational needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior childcare, education, healthcare, or child-related experience preferred
- Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities preferred but not required
- Must be energetic, patient, and passionate about helping children succeed
- Strong communication and professionalism required
Educational Background Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, ABA, or related field preferred but not required
