Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in the human services field

Five years experience working with individuals with Intellectual/developmental disabilities

Has obtained Board Certification in Applied Behavioral Analysis.

Competent in verbal and written communication.


Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. The employee is occassionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. the employee must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time while working with clients with challenging behavior.

Specific vision abilitites required by this job include vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and abiltiy to adjut focus. Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through copmuter, electronic devices and paper means.

Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilizze quick body movements as indicated in the Beahavior Intervention Plan while working with individuals with challenging behavior. This positino requires you to be able to respond quicly to active and aggressive children, adolescents and yound adults ages 2 to 21.Physical response performing approved escorts, holds, and restraints to maintain client and staff safety. These activities may require the ability to run, use of arms in deflecting, restraining, or holding for perioeds of time with a moderate to high level of force, use of torso and hips to balance or hold, and ability to kneel and rise, or lie on the ground and rise swiftly and safely.


Job Description

The position of BCBA must have the credential of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavior
Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The BCBA's duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge in
the field of Behavior Analysis. This work is predominantly intellectual in character and requires the consistent
exercise of discretion and judgment when determining appropriate interventions and treatments.
The BCBA's advanced knowledge as a BCBA is in the field of applied behavior analysis and the BCBA credential
provides certificants a recognized professional status. In order to become Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst, an
individual must poses an advanced degree as outlined in the BACBs certification requirements.
The BCBA has completed specialized intellectual instruction and academic training as a prerequisite for becoming
Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst.
The BCBA will meet the following criteria:
Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients designated by the Clinical Supervisor
  • Conduct initial intakes:
  • Complete an initial assessment and develop a treatment plan
  • Develop programs, protocols and guidelines
  • Train behavior technicians on client specific treatments
  • Provide parent trainings as needed
  • Provide supervision of Applied Behavior Analysis programs
Complete billing documentation for all clients
Maintain an 80% billable monthly average (percentage is subject to changes).
Complete APBS training with newly hired Behavior Support Professionals (BSPs).Conduct/supervise training sessions, as assigned by the Director of Residential and Community Programs, during Direct Support Staff (DSS) orientation. Responsible for the content of the training and assuring it is current and professionally conducted.
Conduct in-service and curriculum training of residential and community BSPs in ABA and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) as required by ASC policy and Waiver/KEPRO and OHFLAC rules. Responsible for the content of the training and assuring it is current and professionally conducted
Provide training, supervision and support to community BSPs in the development and implementation of Discrete Trial Training (DTT) programs for all new and ongoing clients receiving this service.
Participate in the development of PBS plans and in the training and supervision of DSS.Serve as liaison in the coordination of workshops, teleconferences, and curriculum implementation associated with outside consultation services.
Participate in BCBA supervision meetings as directed by the Chief Operations Officer. Remain current on all evidence-based practices and obtain the required CEUs to keep certification current.
Report to the Clinical Supervisor or his/her designee(s) at regularly scheduled times.
Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor
