Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. The RBT will work closely with children on the autism spectrum to implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and analyze data related to client behaviors and progress to inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and communication skills
- Use behavioral management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
- Maintain accurate medical records, documentation, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in care plans
- Participate in ongoing training related to special education, behavior management, and medical terminology
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ethical standards related to patient care and confidentiality
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy, and behavior management strategies
- Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing teaching strategies for skill development
- Familiarity with medical documentation processes, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance
- Background in special education or behavioral health settings is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to collect accurate data during therapy sessions and maintain detailed records for progress tracking
