About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work directly with individuals who have autism and other developmental disabilities. You’ll help them build independence, reach personal goals, and live fulfilling lives.
This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, patient, dependable, and ready to serve as a positive role model.
What You’ll Do
- Teach and support independent living skills such as:
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Household tasks and organization
- Grocery shopping and budgeting
- Encourage and participate in community activities
- Provide transportation to appointments and outings
- Administer medications and complete daily documentation
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and building confidence
What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate, empathetic, and reliable individuals
- Strong communication, writing, and teamwork skills
- Passion for helping others succeed and grow
- Ability to model positive behaviors and encourage independence
Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass background, APS/CPS, and sex offender registry checks
Training & Support (All Paid!)
- First Aid/CPR
- Medication Aide certification
- MANDT training
- On-the-job training and ongoing support
