Autism Behavioral Services (ABS) is dedicated to providing individualized services to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other mental health diagnoses. We work closely with families, educators, and other professionals in home, school, and community settings. Through education and skill transfer, we aim to help children develop lifelong skills to thrive in their environments.
This full-time on-site Behavioral Health Technician role is based in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The primary responsibilities include providing direct behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents, implementing treatment plans developed by Behavior Analysts, collecting and recording data on progress, and assisting in developing strategies to support behavioral goals. The Behavioral Health Technician will work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a team-based approach to achieving positive outcomes for clients.
- Strong understanding of Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Experience in Behavioral Intervention techniques and Psychology
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members
- Ability to work with children and adolescents in various settings while promoting a positive and supportive environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder is an asset
- Patience, empathy, and strong observational skills
- Willingness and ability to complete required certifications, including training in ABA and CPR/First Aid
