ABES is seeking a BCBA to join our Sycamore clinic. This position is designed for a clinician who wants meaningful clinical ownership, a manageable caseload, stable RBT support, and direct access to experienced clinical leadership. We provide individualized ABA services to children and adolescents from 18 months through 18 years of age.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Total first-year compensation up to $115,000, consisting of a base salary of $80,000–$105,000, a performance bonus, and a sign-on bonus. Compensation based on relevant post-certification experience, qualifications, and demonstrated clinical skills. Sign-on bonus subject to eligibility and the terms of the written offer.

Schedule, Caseload, and Clinical Support

  • Flexible Monday-Friday schedule with one remote workday each week.
  • No evening or weekend work expectations.
  • Weekly billable-hour expectation of 25 hours.
  • Typical caseload of 6-8 clients.
  • Full-time RBTs assigned to your clients, with extensive training and ongoing support from in-clinic trainers.
  • Opportunities to develop additional expertise through school consultation, presentations, and payer or insurance review calls.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments using clinically appropriate instruments, which may include the Vineland, SRS-2, VB-MAPP, PEAK, AFLS, EFL, and other relevant tools.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and clinically appropriate fading, transition, and discharge plans.
  • Provide day-to-day clinical oversight, training, supervision, and performance feedback to RBTs and other assigned team members.
  • Analyze client data, monitor progress, and modify treatment strategies based on objective outcomes and clinical judgment.
  • Conduct regular caregiver meetings and training to support generalization and family participation in treatment.
  • Complete required clinical documentation, progress reports, authorization materials, and payer reviews accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with other BCBAs, families, schools, and outside professionals when clinically appropriate, including participation in IEP meetings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification in good standing.
  • Active Illinois Licensed Behavior Analyst credential, or eligibility and willingness to obtain Illinois licensure before the employment start date.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, writing, supervision, and organizational skills.
  • Experience providing ABA services to children with autism in a clinic setting is preferred. Strong newly certified BCBAs with relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
