Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Jacksonville, Florida, and Orange Park, FL (Onsite – Outpatient Clinic)
Job Type: Full-Time (Permanent / Direct Hire)
Pay: From $24.00 per hour (Based on experience)
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver individualized treatment programs. The role involves direct patient care, documentation, manual therapy, exercise instruction, and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Collect patient assessment data as part of evaluation under PT supervision
- Administer treatment interventions such as:
- Manual Therapy
- Therapeutic Exercise
- Functional Movement Training
- Document progress accurately in patient records
- Provide and reinforce Home Exercise Programs (HEP) for continued progress
- Supervise Physical Therapy Aides as needed to maintain treatment quality
- Assist PT in measuring and evaluating patient progress
Requirements
- Associate Degree from an APTA-accredited PTA program – Required
- Active Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License – Required
- Minimum 6 months experience in an Outpatient Physical Therapy setting
- (including clinical rotations) – Required
