Job Summary
Serves as primary resource for processing and repairing returns from customers.
Responsibilities
- Working with shipping & receiving to take in repairs and ship out working product
- Confirm failure modes, analyze issues, and fix problems
- Assist in identifying preventative measures to lower defect rates
- Perform other duties as directed by immediate supervisor
Qualification Requirements
- Associate degree or 5 to 7 years relevant work experience instead of a degree
- Three years’ experience as an Inspection or quality technician
- Two years’ experience as a field technician
- Two years’ experience as a repair technician
- Advanced organizational skills
- Experience drafting reports and collecting data
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision and in a team environment
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
- Strong mechanical and technical skills
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Thorough knowledge of a Product(s), including how to assemble and troubleshoot problems
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Must be able to read and understand key metrics for the repair area
- Ability to work in a learning and ever-changing environment
- Ability to train and cross -train associates
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Responsible for the work products within the work cell or line
- Developing and maintaining company inspection reports
- Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards
- Ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law
- Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly
- Reporting quality anomalies to the supervisor
- Gathering test data and drafting quality reports
- Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to walk.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

- lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Fast-paced production plant environment
- Notable seasonal shifts in hot and cold temperatures.
- The duties of this position may change from time to time.
