Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving facility equipment, building systems, and grounds to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.

This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to facility-related issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to all company safety standards and regulatory requirements.

A successful Facilities Technician ensures the facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while minimizing downtime and supporting the productivity of the organization. Success is measured not only by fixing problems but also by preventing them from occurring.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Perform routine inspections of building structures, equipment, and systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules.
• Monitor, Diagnose, Maintain, and repair facility-related issues involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, & structural systems.
• Perform general building maintenance including painting, carpentry, and minor construction projects.
• Maintain facility lighting systems, doors, windows, and building hardware.
• Troubleshoot facility equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate repairs with external contractors and service providers when necessary.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Support equipment installations, relocations, and facility upgrades.
• Identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Recommend and implement the best maintenance practices.
• Support energy conservation initiatives and facility improvement projects.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while following all safety standards.
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Assembly teams to support equipment builds.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
