Australis Cruises is a Small Expedition Cruise Ship company founded in 1990. It specializes in cruises
through the southern Tip of the Chilean and Argentine Patagonian canals. Its four and eight-night
cruises sail and explore the pristine and remote waters of the Strait of Magellan, the Beagle
Channel, Tierra del Fuego, and Cape Horn.
We seek a dedicated full-time Inside Sales Representative to promote and sell our unique travel
experiences to passengers through Travel Agents and Agencies. The role prioritizes FIT travelers
(Flexible Independent Travel) by leveraging our company database to proactively and efficiently
contact travel agents to prospect, target, and sell.
By utilizing online tools and phone outreach, you will conduct outbound calls to prospective clients
from the database, close sales, and effectively manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to
final booking. This office-based position requires a full-time commitment.
Compensation: a monthly gross wage plus a sales commission (percentage) or an annual Bonus,
calculated based on net sales goals.
Job Responsibilities:
• Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales quotas for outreach, leads, and revenue.
• Sales Process Management: Execute the entire sales cycle, including prospecting,
qualifying leads, conducting outbound calls to prospective clients from the database, researching
the company database, handling objections, online contact, closing deals, and tracking sales
activities.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics.
• Commission or annual Bonus-Based Compensation: Earn a competitive base salary plus
a performance-based commission or yearly bonus based on achieving your net sales goals.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with potential and existing customers via phone, email,
and messaging to generate and nurture leads.
• Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with travel agents by
delivering exceptional customer service and effectively addressing their needs.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions,
sales activities, and performance metrics in the company's CRM system.
• Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products,
destinations, and pricing to communicate our value proposition effectively.
• Effective Communication: Clearly articulate the benefits of our products and services,
tailoring presentations to each customer's specific needs and requirements.
• Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and prioritize potential clients and proactively
contact them to generate new business opportunities.
• Database Management: Utilize the company's database to efficiently manage and track
leads, opportunities, and customer information.
• Collaboration with Live Chat: Be an active part of shifts serving customers via 1-800
numbers, Live Chat, and other tools.
• Effective Contact: Responsible for meeting weekly and monthly goals for effective contact
(which leads to action) with travel agents.
• Willingness to make sales calls: Possibility of visiting Travel Agents in person, through a
productive and efficient visit agenda.
• Willingness to participate in events: The Possibility of participating in events and other
activities on behalf of the company.
