Non-Bargaining Grant Funded Position

Compensation: $25 per hour
Hours: 5.75 hours per day Monday -Friday
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio Teaching License in one of the following areas:
- Early Childhood Intervention Specialist: (P-3)
- Primary Intervention Specialist (PreK-5)
- Early Childhood (P-3) with Prekindergarten Special Needs Endorsement or willingness to obtain before August 25, 2026
- Primary (PreK-5) with Prekindergarten Special Needs Endorsement or willingness to obtain before August 25, 2026
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Perform all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Austintown Local School District Policy and Procedures
- Deliver targeted interventions in early literacy, numeracy, language development, and social-emotional skills
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans based on student needs
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistency in student support
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education, Building Principal, and/or the Superintendent
The successful candidate must have the following on file before starting:
- Appropriate and valid Ohio teaching credential
- Current favorable State and Federal background checks
- Official Sealed Transcripts
- Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Training and Reporting
- Negative drug screen result
