ResponsibilityEducate associate in many areas including occupational health and safety, operating plant and equipment, driving, industrial relations and general clerical duties and supervisory skills(Computer skills in word, excel, power point, Internet research a plus).
Support (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility. Support the Corporate Governance Policy of Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive and the Objectives of:
Meeting challenges of changed legal and business environment.
Enhancing the trust of ATA among customers, associates, and society.
Implementing activities to improve ATA business operations using a strategy of Steady Compliance.
Accountable toEHST Asst. Manager.
Qualifications
¨ Bachelors Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health preferred, or 3-5 years related experience;
¨ Extensive knowledge of safety policies and applicable OSHA standards.
¨ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
¨ Ability to conduct training.
¨ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
¨ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Leadership
¨ Enforce all safety rules.
¨ Lead the implementation of safety programs.
¨ Provide training for all of the above items.
¨ Coach associates in the correct method of task completion
¨ Develop associate understanding of the importance of Safety Procedures
¨ Work in tandem with floor leadership to establish a positive safety culture
Service
¨ Implement the company’s safety program
¨ Work with personnel throughout the organization to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
¨ Inform management & leadership of any possible violations
¨ Coordinate detailed technical activities involved with the management, use and disposal of hazardous materials and chemicals.
¨ Work with leadership so that they will understand the importance of safety issues.
¨ First Aid / CPR Certified – within 1 year of placement
¨ Workers Compensation (W/C)
¨ Associate communication after injury.
¨ Safety Team Member.
¨ Ensure a safe and Healthy work environment.
¨ Safety Audit of Facility.
¨ Provide proper safety equipment (PPE), monitor of PPE.
¨ Support ISO-14001 & ISO-9001 requirements.
¨ All other duties by Safety, Health, Environmental & Training Asst. Manager.
Operations
¨ Respect, follow and enforce U.S. government regulations affecting the company such as Right to Know, Hazardous Communications, National Labor Relations Board, Environmental Issues and reporting, Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity Rights, OHSA and many others.
¨ Monitors facility and processes for adherence to OSHA guidelines and the elimination of industrial accidents.
¨ Communicate issues with floor leadership
¨ Coach and develop floor leadership on proper task
¨ Assist floor leadership in development of associate adherence to safety requirements
¨ Attend trainings, seminars and other activities to progress understanding of technical safety application
¨ Listen to, document and help resolve associate issues relative to safety
¨ Escalate issues to appropriate leadership members
¨ Other duties as assigned by the EHST Asst. Mgr
