Job Overview
Austin Tool is looking for a dependable, safety-focused Delivery Driver & Warehouse Associate to join our team. This is a full-time, hands-on position that combines local deliveries throughout the Austin area with daily warehouse responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who is efficient, organized, dependable, comfortable using a computer, and professional when interacting with customers. The right person will take initiative, work with a sense of urgency, and be comfortable moving between deliveries and warehouse responsibilities throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an Austin Tool company vehicle for local deliveries and pickups
- Complete delivery routes efficiently throughout Austin and surrounding areas
- Load and unload products and materials safely
- Verify orders for accuracy before leaving for deliveries
- Obtain and maintain required delivery documentation
- Pick, pull, stage and prepare customer orders
- Receive incoming freight and verify shipments for accuracy
- Assist with shipping, receiving and inventory
- Use computer systems for order lookup, products, inventory and warehouse transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers
- Perform routine vehicle checks and promptly report vehicle or safety concerns
- Assist with other warehouse responsibilities when not making deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Driving record that meets Austin Tool’s insurance requirements
- Delivery driving, route driving, warehouse or logistics experience preferred
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable regularly loading and unloading materials
- Comfortable using computers and learning inventory and order-management systems
- Able to use GPS/navigation efficiently and navigate the Austin area
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional appearance and communication when representing Austin Tool
- Self-motivated, efficient and able to work independently
- Safety-focused and able to follow company driving and warehouse procedures
Experience with route delivery, industrial supply, building materials, parts delivery, warehouse distribution, Amazon DSP, UPS, FedEx or similar delivery operations is a plus.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $21.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Expected hours: 40 per week
