Overview

The R&D Emulsion group is currently seeking a lab assistant that will act in a supportive role to the Emulsion R&D lab in emulsion manufacturing, inventory tracking and routine housekeeping. The ideal candidate should have some mechanical and chemical experience in the field of commercial explosives,]able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit, stand, climb stairs and qualify for all required PPE.

Qualifications and education requirements

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year work experience in chemical manufacturing
• Must be able to handle working in chemical manufacturing environment.
• Must be capable of working in team or on its own depending on task.
• Must have mechanical skills.
• Self-motivated
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime when applicable.
• Good computer skills a plus

Preferred skills

• Explosive or chemical manufacturing
• Previous working experience with Process Safety Management, Good Laboratory Practice
• Mechanically inclined.
