Driver / Mover – Austin Moving Company

Job Summary:
Austin Moving Company is seeking a reliable and experienced Mover/Driver to join our growing team. This role involves transporting, loading, and unloading items efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has experience in moving services, warehouse operations, or commercial driving, with the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various moving equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to transport goods and furniture.
• Load and unload items using dollies, straps, and manual lifting techniques while ensuring items are properly handled and protected.
• Deliver items to customers or job sites on time, following assigned routes and schedules.
• Provide friendly, professional service and assist customers with their moving needs.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of trucks, tools, and equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly.
• Follow all safety and traffic regulations while on the road and at job sites.
• Manage route schedules efficiently to meet delivery and move deadlines.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required).
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Prior experience as a mover, delivery driver, or in warehouse operations is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Experience driving box trucks or manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
