What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Finish Carpenter position at Austin Lane Construction, LLC?
Austin Lane Construction is looking to add an experienced Journeyman Finish Carpenter to our team. We specialize in high-quality finish carpentry for new residential construction and are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works efficiently, and can complete projects with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Install interior doors, baseboard, casing, window trim, and hardware
- Install stain-grade and paint-grade finish materials
- Build and install faux beams, mantels, wall caps, shelving, and other custom millwork
- Read plans, layouts, and project specifications
- Complete accurate measurements, cuts, miters, and scribing
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
- Identify and solve field issues as they arise
- Communicate effectively with foremen, project managers, and other team members
- Maintain Austin Lane Construction's quality standards
Qualifications:
- 4 years of finish carpentry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential finish carpentry
- Able to work independently and efficiently
- Experience with both stain-grade and paint-grade work
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have basic hand tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable, organized, and professional
- Ability to work well as part of a crew
