About the role
Austin Lakescapes is hiring a Truxor Operation Technician to operate our Truxor T‑50 amphibious machine for aquatic vegetation management, light dredging, and lakescaping projects on Lake Austin and nearby Central Texas waterbodies. You’ll work on the water every day, combining heavy equipment operation with environmental stewardship for some of the most demanding waterfront properties in Texas.

Company overview
Austin Lakescapes is a premier lakescaping and aquatic management contractor specializing in mechanical weed harvesting, dredging support, and marine construction services. Our Lake Scape Division operates cutting‑edge European Truxor T‑Series equipment to maintain navigation channels, HOA shorelines, and private docks on Lake Austin and other high‑value waterfronts.

  • Select, connect, and change attachments using the X4 quick‑coupler (cutters, rakes, pumps, etc.) based on each work order scope.
  • Perform daily inspections, basic preventive maintenance, and field troubleshooting on the Truxor (fluids, filters, grease points, hydraulic leaks, safety systems).
  • Navigate Lake Austin safely around boats, docks, and structures while protecting client property and critical environmental features.
  • Install and maintain environmental controls (turbidity curtains, containment systems) and follow all permit conditions on turbidity and sensitive zones.
  • Document work in Jobber or similar CRM: start/stop times, photos, production notes, and client sign‑offs.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, HOAs, marinas, and inspectors on site regarding scope, timing, and safety boundaries.
  • Support launch and recovery of the Truxor, trailering, fueling, and mobilization to job sites with the field crew.

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn hydraulic and diesel systems on the Truxor T‑50.
  • Strong situational awareness around high‑value docks, boats, and shore structures; zero‑damage mindset.
  • Reliable, on‑time, and able to follow checklists, SOPs, and permit conditions exactly.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL a plus).Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb on/off equipment, and work long days outdoors in heat and humidity.

  • Prior experience in lake or pond management, dredging, landscaping, or environmental field work.OSHA, boating safety, or similar safety training.
  • Basic familiarity with GPS guidance, tablets, or digital work order apps.
  • Previous exposure to Truxor or other aquatic harvesters is a major plus, but not required.
