Insulator Helper
Assists insulator to help apply, remove, and repair insulating material to exposed surfaces or structures, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in measuring and cutting insulation materials to specifications
- Carry, stage, and organize insulation materials and tools
- Prepare surfaces for insulation application
- Install insulation under supervision on piping, ductwork, and equipment
- Secure insulation with tape, wire, bands, or adhesive
- Remove and dispose of old insulation materials safely
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards
- Support journeymen and foremen with daily tasks as assigned
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required for this Position:
- Education – no minimum education requirements.
- Experience – 6 months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and TWIC Card required
- Must meet all physical demands of the role
