Civil General Foreman

Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities including concrete, excavation, underground utilities, grading, formwork, reinforcing steel, and general site work. Must have knowledge of civil construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and layouts. Responsible for directing foremen and craft personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate civil foremen, craft personnel, and equipment operators.
• Oversee excavation, grading, concrete, formwork, reinforcing steel, underground utilities, demolition, and general civil work.
• Verify grades, elevations, dimensions, layouts, formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, and anchor bolts.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Perform field walkdowns and monitor safety, quality, productivity, and work progress.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, tools, and materials required to complete scheduled work.
• Plan and sequence daily and upcoming work activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, work packages, and project requirements with foremen and crews.
• Identify and communicate field conflicts, delays, material shortages, and constructability concerns.
• Coordinate work activities with supervision, safety, quality, operations, and other crafts.
• Collect and verify timesheets for direct reports.
• Maintain records and provide progress updates as required.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, JSAs, pre-job planning, and safety meetings.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
• Hold foremen and craft personnel accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and workmanship.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Experience – 5 – 8 years of Journeyman level experience.

Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.

Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
