Job Overview
AHG Construction & Remodeling is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise both 3D Sales Renderings as well as 2D technical drawings and schematics for various projects, utilizing bot AutoCAD software & Chief Architect. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative construction and engineering projects, supporting the development of detailed plans and models that meet industry standards. The Drafter will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and clarity in all design documentation. THIS IS AN ONSITE, IN PERSON POSITION. REMOTE CANDIDATES NEED NOT APPLY.
Duties
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD & Chief Architect
- Create schematics, mechanical designs, and construction plans aligned with project specifications.
- Produce accurate drafting documentation for construction and manufacturing processes.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from customers, engineers and project stakeholders.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Maintain organized digital files of all drafting documents for easy access and version control.
Experience
- Previous experience in drafting Residential Construction plans to include New Homes, Additions, Renovation work with a heavy emphasis on design and following Residential Building Codes
- Proven experience in CAD drafting within RESIDENTIAL construction or related fields.
- Proficiency with drafting tools including AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Revit and 2D animation software is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and construction documentation.
- Field related experience in the Residential Construction field is a plus
- Experience working on large-scale projects requiring precise attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry standards for drafting and design practices.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. This position is integral to delivering high-quality design documentation that supports successful project execution across various engineering disciplines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
