Job Summary
Austin Industrial, Inc. is currently seeking a Loader to be based in Bishop, TX. This position is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving materials within an industrial facility while supporting daily operations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform all work in a safe manner following site safety requirements and using appropriate PPE
- Load and unload materials from trucks, railcars, and/or storage areas
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, loaders, or similar equipment as required
- Transport materials within the facility to designated areas
- Inspect loads to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper securement prior to shipment
- Assist with staging materials for outgoing shipments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Support inventory tracking and basic documentation as needed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and shipping personnel
- Assist with general labor tasks and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in material handling, industrial, or warehouse environment preferred
- Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is a plus
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor (standing, walking, bending, climbing)
- Ability to work in outdoor and plant environments, including varying weather conditions
- Must be able to work required schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
