Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for an Accountant II at our corporate headquarters in Coppell, Texas. The role will be responsible for job cost accounting, general ledger, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- General ledger accounting including reconciliations
- Monthly accounting close process, contract profit review and analyses
- Various reports and analyses (including KPIs and various business metrics)
- Periodic forecast and budgeting processes
- Job cost responsibilities including project setup, budget upload, maintains on-going contract budget adjustment, change orders etc. Monthly job billing, cost review etc.
- Support field operations including field office managers, project managers and regional managers
- Assist in external and internal audits
- Completes ad hoc requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Construction industry experience is preferred but not required
- Strong analytical skills
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Proven people and organizational development skills; able to work smoothly and effectively with people at all levels of the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
