Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position located in Austin, TX. The Bbq Pit Master will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of barbecue dishes to maintain the high culinary standards of Austin Country Club. Daily tasks will include managing the smoking and grilling of meats, creating and executing barbecue recipes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring food safety protocols. The Bbq Pit Master will collaborate with the culinary team and may participate in menu planning to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills including BBQ preparation, smoking, grilling, and seasoning expertise.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of cooking equipment.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe development, and creating unique dishes.
- Team collaboration and communication skills to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing an excellent dining experience for members and guests.
- Previous experience as a pit master or in a similar role is highly desirable.
