This role is critical to maintaining the performance and safety of our heavy equipment fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in motor graders and excavators, and be capable of performing off-rental inspections, major repairs, and welding/fabrication tasks.
Requirements:
- Perform comprehensive inspections on off-rental equipment to assess condition and readiness for redeployment
- Diagnose and execute major repairs on motor grades, excavators, and other heavy machinery.
- Carry out welding and fabrication tasks to restore or modify equipment components
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all work performed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a shop technician, preferably in construction environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of motor graders and excavators.
- Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
