Coordinator plans, organizes, promotes, monitors, coordinates and implements education and youth
development activities and programing, including, other duties as assigned; establishes and
maintains effective collaborative relationships and serves as liaison to program personnel in/with
partner/collaborator organizations and other local groups.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and implement the EYD Project Ready model
Maintain applications, support information and program files digitally and print.
Assesses and documents client progress toward self-sufficiency goals
Advocate to other agencies and entities on behalf of Urban Leaguers
Develops and maintains a referral database for various community services and refers clients to
other agencies for service when appropriate.
Submit routine weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly reports on a timely basis.
Explain program services and policies to clients and general public.
Assist in outreach/recruitment activities.
Serve as backup to other program staff.
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Youth Development
Assists the division in preparation of Funding opportunities response responses, reporting
documents, and other correspondence as necessary.
Track legislation, regulations, other government, university, and foundation initiatives that
directly impact upon the mission and programs of the Education and Youth Development
division as needed.
Manage and maintain records, evaluations, resource materials and all other documents related
to the work of the EYD division programs (Project Ready).
Work cooperatively with public and private sector agencies, local community development
groups and national nonprofit boards to enhance and develop programs of the Education and
Youth Development division.
Work collaboratively with Central Texas Youth service providers and education entities to advise
on the development and implementation of effective positive Youth Development In School
Time (IST) Push In, Out of School Time (OST), Hybrid IST and OST strategies.
Represent the Education and Youth Development division in internal/external meetings and
convening.
Strategically identify and initiate effective partnering, management, parent engagement and
advocacy services.
Recruits potential program participants by researching and resourcing target areas.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Must have proficient computer skills and database entry ability (i.e. Microsoft Office, internet
research and use of email communications).
Ability to interpret complex written material and analyze problems as they relate to case
management.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Ability to coordinate, organizes, prioritize and work independently and as a team member with
minimal supervision
Ability to build and maintain a professional working relationship with clients, funding sources,
community representatives and co-workers
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent time management skills; organized and able to prioritize
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree in education, social work, counseling, psychology or a closely related
discipline is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, professio al, and organizational skills.
Other Requirements
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
