What will you do?

As the Leading Hand Mechanical Fitter, you'll lead by example, providing technical support while coordinating the day-to-day activities of the workshop team.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Supervising and mentoring a team of Mechanical Fitters
• Carrying out pump repairs, overhauls, maintenance and fault finding
• Supporting workshop operations and attending customer sites when required (approximately one week per month)
• Allocating work and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Providing technical guidance and supporting the development of the team
• Working closely with the Service Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and to customer expectations
• Promoting a strong safety culture and maintaining high-quality workmanship
  
  

What will you need?

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Demonstrated experience working on industrial pumps and rotating equipment (essential)
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Full Australian work rights without requiring sponsorship
• Disconnect/Reconnect licence (highly regarded)
