We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our growing medical device company. The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of hands-on planning experience and is ready to contribute immediately to the effectiveness of our production scheduling and material flow. This role is critical in supporting the development and execution of the master production schedule, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders, and driving improvements in our planning processes.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Own and maintain the master production schedule, including work order creation, management, and tracking to meet customer demand.
- Utilize the ERP system for advanced work order management, capacity planning, and inventory control.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer teams to ensure alignment of production and shipping schedules.
- Monitor material availability and capacity constraints, proactively identifying and resolving conflicts.
- Generate and analyze reports summarizing production status, material availability, and key metrics to support decision-making.
- Contribute to and lead process improvement initiatives within the planning and scheduling function.
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members in planning practices and ERP system usage.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles. Medical device or regulated manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of production planning principles, MRP/ERP systems, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, anticipate issues, and take proactive action.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data-driven tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Spanish language skills are a plus but not required. English is required.
