Duties
- Lead guided kayak tours along designated routes, providing engaging narration about local wildlife, geography, and history using storytelling techniques.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by conducting pre-tour safety briefings, demonstrating proper paddling techniques, and monitoring conditions throughout excursions.
- Manage tour groups effectively, including coordinating group logistics, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and addressing guest questions promptly.
- Assist guests with equipment fitting, safety gear checks, and providing instruction tailored to varying skill levels.
- Enforce safety protocols and wilderness safety standards; respond swiftly to emergencies with CPR or first aid as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of tour activities, guest attendance, and safety checks; prepare reports on daily operations.
- Foster rapport with guests by utilizing multilingual or bilingual skills to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
