Custodial & Facilities Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Custodial & Facilities Technician for our Corporate Office and Manufacturing Plant. Candidates should have prior janitorial/custodial experience in both office and manufacturing environments.

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:

Under general supervision, the Facilities & Custodial Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of custodial and light facilities maintenance duties to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workplace environment. This role also supports general building upkeep and assists with facility-related needs as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Daily:

• Clean and dust furniture, tables, blinds, pictures, mirrors, and other company owned equipment throughout office and shop
• Sanitize multi-touch areas (doorknobs/appliances/break areas)
• Thoroughly clean all restrooms, refill paper and soap dispensers.
• Empty waste baskets and remove trash from premises.
• Maintain inventory of building maintenance, janitorial and sanitary supplies.
• Preventative Maintenance on CNC Machines / Bar Feeders / Compressed Air Line Systems as needed
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Demonstrate good working relationships with other employees.
• Ensure thorough familiarity and compliance with company policies.
• Follow safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Bi-Weekly:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Clean all interior glass

As Needed:

• Wash exterior windows.
• Replace interior and exterior light bulbs.
• Remove debris from building grounds.
• Maintenance repair of CNC Machines / Bar Feeders / Compressed Air Line Systems and other manufacturing related machinery
• Snow removal from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas; apply salt as needed
• Move furniture, tables, machines and equipment
• Assist with the setup of meetings, conferences, and events.
• Handle scrap and recyclable materials.
• Assist with general building maintenance and upkeep tasks
• Additional work hours in excess of normal business hours may be necessary to perform essential job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma
• Valid, Clean drivers license
• Minimum 4 years of professional office custodial experience
• Manufacturing custodial experience
• English language proficiency.
• Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Routinely performs duties in a production environment.
• Exposure to production level noise.
• Required to stand for long periods of time.
• Near visual acuity to read and hearing ability to monitor equipment sounds.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs without accommodations

Compensation & Career Growth

• Salary Range: $18.00– $22.00 hourly
