Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Ensure all surfaces, including windows, desks, and fixtures, are sanitized and free of dust or debris
- Maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with safety guidelines
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure continuous availability
- Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks like carpet shampooing or floor waxing as needed
- Follow safety procedures during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for swift resolution
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques and the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward maintaining a safe environment
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout the shift
