Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical procedures. Your expertise will help ensure the health and well-being of our patients, making a significant impact on their lives and the lives of their owners. We have three thriving Veterinary clinic's: Aurora Veterinary Clinic, Mantua Veterinary Clinic and Streetsboro Veterinary Center all located in a 15 minute distance from each location.
Duties
As a Veterinary Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
- Performing laboratory tests and analyzing samples
- Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring animal patients pre- and post-op
- Conducting X-rays
- Restraining animals safely during examinations and procedures
- Educating pet owners
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
Skills
To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology
- Experience with animal restraint techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
- Proficiency in X-ray techniques and safety protocols
- Understanding of dental terminology related to veterinary care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
