The Aurora Kennel is currently seeking a full-time kennel manager with previous kennel management experience and a passion for animals to join our dedicated team. This position requires morning, evening and weekend availability. We need someone with a fully flexible schedule.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine love for animals and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills. This crucial role involves providing exceptional care for our animal guests and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for their owners. Responsibilities also include assisting with staff training and ensuring adherence to all kennel protocols.
Requirements:
- Reside within 30 minutes of Aurora, Ohio.
- Reliable, year-round transportation.
- Availability to work holidays.
- Physical ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Performing various cleaning tasks throughout the kennel and outdoor areas.
- Feeding dogs, cats, and occasionally rabbits and guinea pigs.
- Administering medications to dogs and cats.
- Walking dogs and providing individual playtime.
- Answering phones, setting up new clients, and managing reservations.
- Checking pets in and out.
- Completing administrative paperwork.
- Assisting with employee training.
- Ensuring smooth and cohesive kennel operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with dogs and cats is necessary.
- General computer proficiency is required.
- Prior management experience is preferred.
