We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a Punch Press Operator / Saw Operator. The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to read a tape measure, and experience with reading blueprints and technical drawings. Some manufacturing experience is preferred.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure effective operation of Punch Press machine to manufacture parts that meet the specified order requirements.
- Operate a water and/or Chop Saw.
- Understand quality and production within company specifications, goals, and objectives.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents to understand production requirements.
- Collaborate with the Quality Department to define problem areas and implement improvement.
- Comply with all safety and environmental regulations and follow ATI practices.
- Support all 6s and lean initiatives.
- Maintain proper training, tools, and materials necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Utilize gauging tools to read measurements on both materials and finished products.
- Fulfill any additional assigned duties as needed.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 3 years of experience operating Punch Press machinery.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to understand product specifications.
- Must possess basic computer operation skills.
- Can read tape measures, calipers and other measuring devices.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with using micrometers, calipers and other applicable inspection equipment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
- Ability to bend and twist to load materials.
