We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various industrial machines. In addition, general building and maintenance will be handled by our maintenance team as well. This role requires general knowledge to troubleshoot various equipment problems while maintaining all safety procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Safety first mentality with knowledge of basic industrial safety procedures (LOTO, Hot Work, ECT)
- Self-Motivated with desire to continuously learn new concepts
- General understanding of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical, and Stem Systems with the ability to maintain, repair, and rebuild typical components (Ex: pumps, motors, valves, switches, ect)
- Knowledge in facilities maintenance
- Basic machining experience including drilling, tapping, mill and lather work
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial systems in a safe and effective manner
- Basic computer skills with ability to utilize the Maintenance Software
Physical Requirements:
- Requires frequent standing and walking for eight or more hours per day.
- Requires bending, squatting and climbing.
- Ability to work off ladders or scaffolding.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Possible exposure to hazardous chemical requiring special clothing and/or personal protective equipment.
- Ability to perform duties outside in varying conditions including both heat and cold.
