Job Details

The Senior Product Content Specialist is responsible for executing and maintaining high-quality product content across Aurora Parts eCommerce properties. This role owns the day-to-day quality, consistency, and optimization of product data across a 30,000 SKU catalog.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that works across new product launches and existing catalog improvements. The position uses data such as sales performance, keyword trends, and site search behavior to prioritize work and continuously improve product content.

The role partners closely with Product Management and Platform Solutions to ensure product information is accurate, structured, and optimized for both customers and search visibility.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Optimization

•    Create, update, and maintain high-quality product descriptions across all Aurora Parts eCommerce sites that are accurate, technically precise, and written for both human buyers and search engines.

•    Optimize product titles, descriptions, metadata, attributes, urls, images, keywords, landing pages and blog posts for SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to ensure content is structured for visibility in Google, Bing, and AI-powered search platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.

•    Conduct keyword research using Semrush or equivalent tools to ensure products are discoverable for the terms buyers actually use.

•    Implement on-page SEO best practices: meta tags, alt text, internal linking, and schema markup (Product, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList).

•   Apply AI-enabled tools to accelerate content creation, enrichment, and cleanup at scale across the catalog.

Catalog Governance & Data Management

•     Own the product content intake process to ensure new product additions are reviewed and meet the content standard before going live.

•    Provide input into the evaluation and selection of a Product Information Management (PIM) system and lead the transition to that platform.

•     Manage product data sourced from suppliers, data feed tools, and internal teams, normalizing inconsistent formats into Aurora's content standards.

•     Develop and maintain the product content style guide: required specifications per category, formatting conventions (units, abbreviations, measurements), image requirements and description standards.

•     Maintain product taxonomy, attributes, and naming conventions to support site search, filtering, and navigation.

Prioritization & Performance

•     Review sales history, keyword performance, and site search data to independently prioritize which products and categories receive content attention first.

•     Monitor product page performance and make data-driven content improvements on an ongoing basis.

•     Partner with the Product Marketing Specialist to align content priorities with campaign, co-op, and search opportunities.

•     Perform quality assurance across product pages and coordinate updates with the Platform Solutions team.

 Requirements

•     4-6 years of experience in eCommerce content management, product data, SEO, GEO, preferably with large catalogs in a B2B or technical product environment.

•     Experience with product data syndication platforms is strongly preferred: Opticat, ACES/PIES data standards, or equivalent PIM/data feed tools.

•     Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven ability to maintain accuracy and consistency across large product catalogs, complex specifications, attributes, and data feeds.

•     Hands-on experience with large product catalogs (10,000 SKUs).

•     Heavy-duty truck, trailer, or industrial parts industry experience a significant advantage.

•     Strong writing and editing skills with high attention to technical detail, with the ability to write accurately about products.

•     Proficiency with Semrush, Google Search Console, or equivalent SEO analytics tools.

•     Continuously builds skills to stay current in role and industry, applying an AI-first mindset by leveraging AI tools to streamline work, improve accuracy, and replace manual processes where appropriate.

•     Proficiency with eCommerce platforms, CMS, and Excel for catalog data management.

•     Self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a large content queue independently.

•     Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
