What are the responsibilities and job description for the WAREHOUSE YARD TRUCK DRIVER- 3rd SHIFT position at Aurora Parts and Accessories, LLC?
SUMMARY
Perform duties outlined below in addition to assisting functional areas when available.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will handle the movement of trailers from the yard/door location to a yard/door location.
- Perform general processes, including picking parts, receiving parts, packing parts, and putting parts in storage locations.
- Adhere to general safety requirements.
- Operations of equipment including yard trucks fork trucks, picker trucks, and reach trucks.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executives of Aurora.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with industry part numbers and warehouse processes.
- PC and basic computer knowledge.
- Attention to detail and task completion.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Strong work and safety ethic.
- Be able to operate, or experience operating, a Yard Tractor or Tractor/Trailer, be comfortable with backing/maneuvering trailers in size from 28’ to 53’ or willing to be trained.
- Ability to work in high traffic/limited space environment.
- Positive attitude and team building skills.
- CDL is not required.
- Bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Generally limited exposure to physical risk.
- Comfort with working at elevated heights.
