Position Overview
The DoubleTree by Hilton Huntsville South, managed by Aurora Hospitality Partners, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead all revenue-generating efforts for the hotel.
This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that drive revenue growth, increase market share, and optimize business mix across all segments. The Director of Sales will lead and develop the on-property sales function while maintaining a strong presence in the market, building relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the hotel’s revenue goals and market positioning
- Drive new business development through proactive sales efforts, including outside sales calls, networking, and targeted prospecting
- Lead, coach, and manage the sales function, ensuring accountability to defined activity levels and production goals
- Identify and secure corporate, group, and local business opportunities that align with the hotel’s strategic objectives
- Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking
- Negotiate contracts and agreements that support both revenue growth and profitability
- Collaborate with operations to ensure successful execution of booked business and a seamless guest experience
- Partner with marketing to support initiatives that generate qualified leads and enhance market visibility
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and performance data to refine strategies and improve results
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hotel sales leadership experience, preferably in a full-service or select-service environment
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue goals
- Strong understanding of group, corporate, and local market segments
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
- Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and performance metrics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to lead and develop a team while maintaining individual accountability for results
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
