What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse - High School position at Aurora High School?
Immediate opening for a school nurse at Aurora High School. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: administering first aid and daily medications, maintaining student health records, tracking mandated state required immunizations, writing individualized health care plans for students, ordering medical supplies for the building, coordinating immunization clinics with the health department, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure food allergies are handled safely.
Successful candidates should have Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN) or another health related qualification. Potential assignment of Health Services Coordinator to a qualified candidate for an additional stipend. School nursing experience would be desired, but not required. Aurora operates on a four-day school calendar (Monday-Thursday).
