What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Aurora Dental Care?
We pride ourselves on hi-tech dentistry with a hometown feel. We have 2 CEREC CAD CAM Systems, CBCT X-ray Technology and a Speedfire Oven. We do a range of dentistry from: Same Day Crowns, Fillings, Dentures to Implants and Wisdom Teeth Extractions. Experience using these technologies a plus but we will train the right candidate. We are looking for a highly skilled assistant with an emphasis on patient care and patient education.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Preparing patients for dental treatment.
- Assisting with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
- Providing exceptional patient care.
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Exposing dental x-ray s from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
- Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
- Providing post operative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Caring for dental equipment.
- Taking impressions and pouring up models.
- Ordering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventory.
- Scanning using CAD CAM technology.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,440.00 - $47,500.00 per year
