What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grain Marketing Clerk position at AURORA COOPERATIVE ELEVATOR COMPANY?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Truck freight accounting and procedures
- Understanding grain policies, contracts, and programs
- Creating grain settlements for producers and settling intercompany grain
- Balancing truck settlements
- Defer Settlements
- Contract Management
- Lien Management within Granger
- Providing producers with requested information regarding their grain accounts
- Understand grain markets and being proficient with the board of trade
- Communicating with traders in all grain areas, with an emphasis on producer accounts
- Assisting in all grain areas as needed including billing, deposits, balancing accounts, scanning, and other miscellaneous clerical duties
- Becoming cross-trained in all grain accounting applications
- Perform all other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
An associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience in the grain industry and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
