Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces across commercial spaces
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine flooring conditions
- Clean carpets thoroughly using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and dirt
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Handle janitorial tasks such as waste disposal, window cleaning, and surface polishing to uphold cleanliness standards
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible to promote sustainability and safety
- Follow safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is highly desirable
- Familiarity with environmental services practices that prioritize safety and sustainability
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and scrubbers effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards in busy environments
Pay: $13.00 - $13.33 per hour
