Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), ensuring consistency and fidelity in therapy delivery
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, skill acquisition, and progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, toileting, feeding, and dressing, to promote independence
- Use evidence-based behavioral strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors
- Support clients during therapy sessions within their home environment, creating a safe and engaging atmosphere for learning
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate regularly with families about progress, challenges, and strategies to reinforce skills across settings
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, behavior management strategies, and special education principles is highly valued
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance enhances your ability to support client care effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams in a compassionate manner
- Ability to follow detailed protocols for data collection, behavior tracking, and documentation to ensure precise progress monitoring
