Aurora Asphalt & Concrete is looking for experienced concrete finishers.
Responsibilities
- Set and place forms to correct height and location, & install proper reinforcing
- Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification
- Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel or long-handled "bull float"
- Cut joints & grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking
- Apply sealer to cure surfaces
- Monitor the wind, heat and cold and make necessary adjustments as it affects the curing of concrete
- Clean job site and tools
- Preferred: experience with decorative, stamped, and colored concrete
Requirements
- 4 years experience finishing concrete
- Be able to pass a criminal record check
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
- Must be on time and dependable
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Problem-solving skills
